Helping fundraise for Cairns Counselling

On 5th May 2010 members from Aberdeen Strathspey & Reel Society performed in the Proud to be Scottish concert organised by Friends of Cairns Counselling. Also appearing were singer Ken Petrie accompanied by Harry Williamson at the piano.

Constitution change makes a "reel difference" for charities

Presentation of £1000 cheque to Archie Foundation fundraising manager

Traditional Scottish music group Aberdeen Strathspey & Reel Society recently updated its constitution to enable it to continue making donations to charity. Their first donation of £1,000 under the new constitution is being presented today to the Archie Foundation - the charity that supports Aberdeen Royal Childrens' Hospital.

Society entertains at royal visit to research centre

Members of traditional Scottish music group Aberdeen Strathspey & Reel Society provided entertainment during a royal visit to Aberdeen today.

The Countess of Wessex was visiting Aberdeen University's Forresterhill Campus where sight-saving research is carried out.
